How to find System Specifications, Diagnostics, and Logs

Quick answer:

  • System specifications: Device model, OS version, and hardware details

  • Diagnostic reports: Complete system and app information for analysis

  • Log files: Detailed app processes and error information

  • Both devices: Send info from primary and secondary devices when possible

System Specifications

🍎 Mac

Click the Apple Icon in the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac to see your Mac's model, year, and macOS version.

🪟 Windows

Open the Start Menu, search for System Information, and click the result. Click System Summary to see your model and Windows version.

📱 iPad

Open Settings, tap General, then tap About to see your iPad's model, iOS version, and other info.

Diagnostic Reports

Diagnostic reports include system specs, app info, and logs to help us troubleshoot.

🍎 Mac

Primary Mac

Open the Luna Mac app and go to Help > Generate Diagnostic Report.

Secondary Mac

Open the Luna Secondary app, click Luna Secondary in the top left, then select Generate Diagnostic Report & Quit.

🪟 Windows

Open the Luna Windows app, click the menu in the top left, then go to Diagnostics > Generate performance report.

Logs

Logs show app processes and errors and help us find the cause of issues. Please send logs from both devices if possible.

🍎 Mac

Primary Mac

Open the Luna Mac app and go to Help > Reveal Log Files.

Secondary Mac

Open the Luna Secondary app, click Luna Secondary in the top left, then select Reveal Logs & Quit.

🪟 Windows

Open the Luna Windows app, click the menu in the top left, and then go to Diagnostics > Reveal Log Files.

📱 iPad

Open the Luna iPad app, tap the ? icon in the bottom left, tap the [email protected] email, then tap Share Logs.

Do I need to send logs from both devices?
✅ Yes, when possible. Sending logs from both your primary and secondary devices helps us get a complete picture of the issue.

❗Primary device logs: Always include logs from your main computer (Mac/Windows) as this is where most connection issues originate.

💡iPad logs: Use the built-in email sharing feature to easily send iPad logs to our support team.
