Voice-to-Text Input

Type with your voice instead of a keyboard. This is super useful when your hands are busy or a keyboard isn't in reach.

Updated today

Workbench includes a voice-to-text input feature that lets you dictate text into any field on your remote Mac.

Instead of using the on-screen or physical keyboard to type, you can speak. Your words are converted to text anywhere there is text input available on the screen.

🎙️ How to Use Voice Input

  1. Tap the microphone button in the top right corner of the app

  2. Speak into your iPad or iPhone

  3. Tap the green button when you are done speaking

  4. Your text will appear in whatever field was active on your Mac

💡 Good to Know

Voice input is manual, so it will not stay active between inputs. You will need to tap the microphone button each time you want to dictate something new.
