Slate works with all Apple Pencils. On newer iPad Pros, Slate supports hover. On older iPads, Slate uses Simulated Hover.
How Simulated Hover Works
Move the cursor: Lightly drag your Apple Pencil across your iPad screen.
Click: Tap the screen with your Apple Pencil.
Adjusting Click Pressure Threshold
Click Pressure Threshold controls how much pressure is needed to click with your Apple Pencil.
Firm pressure requires a harder press to click.
Soft pressure needs just a light touch to click.
To adjust the pressure threshold:
Open the Slate sidebar.
Select Pencil Settings.
Use the slider to set the pressure you prefer.
