What's different between Rock Paper Pencil V4 and V3?

Find out how Rock Paper Pencil Version 4 differs from Version 3!

🆕 What's new in Rock Paper Pencil V4?

Rock Paper Pencil V4 adds a second tip: graphite, alongside the original ballpoint. Everything else about the product, the screen protector, installation, and compatibility, works the same as V3.

💡 Key difference:

  • V3 kits include 2 tips total

    • 2 ballpoint tips

  • V4 kits include 4 tips total

    • 2 ballpoint and

    • 2 graphite

Every V4 kit includes four Apple Pencil tips instead of two:

  • 2 ballpoint tips (the original feel)

  • 2 graphite tips (new)

The paper-feel, removable, reusable screen protector is unchanged between V3 and V4. It still uses static cling to attach, no adhesive, no residue, easy to remove and reapply.

🤔 Which tip should I use?

Most people end up using both depending on what they're doing that day, so try each and see what feels right for your work.

  • If you're mostly writing or taking notes, go with ballpoint.

  • If you're sketching, shading, or want more texture, go with graphite.
