Quick Answer
Open Luna Display app on your Mac
Look at top-right corner for the "Connection Options" box
Your current connection type will be displayed (Peer-to-Peer, Wi-Fi, USB, etc.)
Only Wi-Fi and Peer-to-Peer are manual options; cable connections are automatic
Not sure how your Luna Display is connected? No worries! In Luna Display 5.3 and later, it's super easy to see exactly what connection type you're using. This helps you troubleshoot issues and optimize your setup.
Where to Find Your Connection Type
The Connection Options box shows your current connection and lets you switch between available options.
Open Luna Display on your main Mac
Look at the top-right of the Luna window
Find the "Connection Options" section - this shows your active connection
Click on the dropdown to select a wireless connection option
When you're using a cable connection (USB, Thunderbolt, or Ethernet), you'll see the connection type in the corner. Cable connections work automatically!
