Troubleshooting steps for login issues when using third-party sign in methods like Google or Apple ID

Resolving Login Issues for Third-Party Authentication in Astropad Studio

If you’re having trouble logging into Astropad Studio and your account uses third-party authentication (e.g., "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple"), follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Logging in with Google

When your Astropad account was created using the "Sign in with Google" option, no separate Astropad-specific password is associated with your account. Resetting your password won't work in this case. Instead, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the login screen on the Astropad application.

  2. Select Sign in with Google.

  3. Use the same Google account that you originally used to register for Astropad Studio.

This will grant you access to your account without requiring a traditional password.

Logging in with Apple ID

If your Astropad account was created using the "Sign in with Apple" feature, ensure that you authenticate using the Apple ID linked to your Astropad Studio subscription. Note that using the standard email/password login for the same email address will not work and may result in errors. To log in:

  1. Navigate to the login screen on the Astropad application.

  2. Select Sign in with Apple.

  3. Authenticate with your Apple ID credentials.

This ensures that your subscription and account are properly linked.

General Troubleshooting Tips

  • Double-check that you are using the correct third-party option (Google or Apple) associated with your account.

  • If you encounter issues like a "Restore Purchases" failure, confirm that you’re logged in with the correct account.

  • For additional support, contact Astropad customer support via chat or email.

By following these guidelines, you can avoid login errors and ensure seamless access to your Astropad Studio account.
